The 9.5mm movie film gauge, introduced
in 1922 in France by Pathé-Baby, part of the then giant
arrived in the UK the following year and was effectively the first home movie film size.
GROUP 9.5 CLUB RULES
Just found my copy of the Group 9.5 club rules. Just
in case there are ever any queries I have popped the page here.
Naturally the committee can make any changes they deem necessary and these can then be ratified at the next club Annual General Meeting.
RULES OF THE CINE CLUB KNOWN AS GROUP 9.5 REVISED AT ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ON 10th OCTOBER 1970 (1) The club will be known as "Group 9.5". (2) Each member shall pay an annual subscription of such amount as shall be determined from time to time to be due and payable on the 1st September each year. (3) Each member shall receive the club magazine and shall be eligible to enjoy whatever services are provided by the club during period of their membership paying where applicable the charge determined by the committee. (4) A General Meeting will be held each year before the end of November. (5) The committee will be elected once a year and will consist of:- Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer; plus as many other members that current activities of the club demand. (6) The Annual General Meeting may elect a President for a term of one year. (7) The committee has the right to refuse a membership and also the right to suspend a member. (8) All responsibility for the general day to day running of the club shall be vested on the current committee; but major policy decisions must be referred to the membership and if necessary be the subject of an Emergency General Meeting. (9) Other officers of the club (i.e. Librarian, Editor, Tape Circle Organiser) may sit on the committee but may vote on only issues affecting their office. (10) If 20 or more members wish to hold an E.G.M. to question or to re-elect the committee, they must notify the secretary in writing at least 4 weeks before the meeting takes place. (11) Dissolution of the club cannot take place until a vote is taken among the members. A majority of at least 66% of the votes cast must be in favour. Signed:- Hugh H.Hale. Hon.Chairman
